Auric Body Flower Essences
The aura, also referred to as the subtle anatomy or light body, is the non-physical part of us that extends some two feet or so beyond our body, enveloping us in an invisible egg-shape subtle energy structure. It is rather like the atmosphere of the earth, becoming more rarified the further the distance from our body, yet it also penetrates into our physical form where the chakras, meridians and nadi are found. Flower remedies have a very strong influence upon the aura: this is where they impact initially when taken orally or just held. In fact if you were to give one of the Auric Flower Essences to someone and then place your hands at the appropriate distance from their body you would feel its effects on the palms of your hands.
The Etheric Body
Closest to the physical and most dense in nature it extends less than 2 inches outside of the physical body. The etheric is the spiritual counterpart of the physical. It is not only situated in the same place as the physical but resembles it in everyway. Any dis-ease within the physical body will be present in the etheric and will have been present in the etheric before reaching the physical.

The Emotional Body
Beyond the etheric is the emotional. The subtle bodies beyond the etheric are very different in nature from the etheric. The distance the emotional body can extend from the physical body varies considerably from individual to individual, depending on the nature of their emotional make-up. Some have closed emotions, resulting in a dense, constricted emotional body, extending only a short distance beyond the ethric. Others, by their nature, are very emotional so their emotional bodies are well-developed and extend much further out. It is within the emotional body that our emotions reside and any emotional upset will cause disturbance in this area of the aura. The flower remedy that impacts exclusively on the emotional body is borage.

The Mental Body
Above the emotional body is the mental body. Like the emotional, this varies considerably in size depending on the mental activity of the individual. The energy in the mental layers of the aura is of a higher and quicker nature than in the emotional. The colours are lighter and less dense than those of the emotional body. Those who let their emotions cloud their judgement have an emotional body extending into the mental body. Conversely those who suppress their emotions and attempt to define everything in by logical and rational rules have a mental body over-extending into the emotional body. Many dis-eases will initially manifest in either the mental or emotional bodies as mental or emotional suffering before descending down to the etheric and eventually manifesting in the physical. It is therefore much better, if at all possible, to treat dysfunctional energetic patterns in the higher levels of the aura before the dysfunctions become more dense and require a more invasive form of therapy than flower or other vibrational medicines. The Spiritual Body
is stimulated with the use of J erusalem Sage flower remedy. Just as the emotional and mental bodies are where our emotions and thoughts are contained, the spiritual dimension of our being resides in the highest and most rarified layers of our subtle anatomy. However, it must be remember that the layers of the aura are interpenetrating, so the energy of the spiritual body is also found in the mental, emotional, ethic and physical aspects of our being.
